S.C.U.M. - Visions Arise single
Okay now this band here are some pretty awesome shit. Zombie Garage music (bands like The Horrors, The Dead.). Nice, noisy and chaotic. Faris Badwan and Joshua Third of The Horrors are both fans. Faris stated in an interview that they were kinda like the No-Wave band Mars (great stuff) and Joshua has a t shirt for this single (see below). Anyways worth the download.
Tracklist:
1. Visions Arise
2. Second Sea

haha, I love S.C.U.M. Saw them in 2008, the bass was incredible. Met Huw and Sam a few weeks ago too (very nice people, might I add.)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't really describe this as Zombie Garage though. I find S.C.U.M and The Horrors rather different.
This coming Friday S.C.U.M is playing down at the Relentless Garage in London!
ReplyDeleteThey will be joined by the delightful Big Deal, comprised of Kacey from Little Death and Alice from Pull In Emergency. Mute boss and 'Warm Leatherette' man Daniel Miller will also be spinning tunes.

They're NOTHING like "the No-Wave band Mars" & never have been. More posh kids, raiding daddy's "cool" record collection (Barry 7 in this case). HATE HATE HATE.
